How eLifeVault Works

eLifeVault is designed to make organizing, securing, and managing your documents and photos simple and intuitive. Follow these steps to learn how eLifeVault works and how you can take full advantage of its features.

1. Getting Started

Step 1: Download and Install the App

  • Download eLifeVault from the App Store or Google Play Store and install it on your device free.

Step 2: Create a PIN

  • Set a secure PIN to protect your account.
  • Choose security questions and answers for PIN recovery.
  • Note:  If you do not set a PIN you will be required to set your PIN when you view your fist file for security. After set, you only need to enter it to open the app.

Step 3: Personalize Your Categories

  • Explore the default categories provided or create custom ones to suit your needs.

2. Adding Files

Option 1: Scan Documents

  • Use the built-in scanner to digitize important physical documents like IDs, contracts, or receipts.
  • Save scans directly into your chosen category.

Option 2: Take Photos

  • Capture images using your device’s camera and store them securely within the app.

Option 3: Import Files

  • Import documents or photos already stored on your device into Elifevault.

3. Organizing Files

  • Browse through default categories like General, Health, or Estate Planning.
  • Add custom categories for specific projects, events, or types of files.
  • Use subcategories to further refine your organization.

4. Securing Your Data

PIN Protection

  • Access your files by entering your secure PIN.

Biometric Security (Premium Feature)

  • Enable FaceID or TouchID for fast and secure login.

Encryption

  • Files are encrypted locally on your device to protect them from unauthorized access.

5. Recovering Your PIN

  • Forgot your PIN? Select “Forgot PIN” on the login screen.
  • Answer your pre-set security questions to recover access and reset your PIN.

6. Accessing Premium Features

Upgrade to Premium for advanced features:

  • Unlimited Local Storage: Store as many files as your device can handle.
  • Cloud Backup and Syncing: Backup and access your files on Google Drive or iCloud.
  • Ulimited File Sharing: Share files easily with others.
  • Unlimited File Imports: Photos and files.
  • Advanced Search: Quickly locate documents by name, type, or category.

7. Staying Organized

  • Use the dashboard to view all categories and subcategories at a glance.
  • Move files between categories as your organizational needs change
  • Use search tools to locate files instantly.

8. Backing Up and Restoring Files (Premium Feature)

  • Enable cloud backup via Google Drive or iCloud to protect your files and access them across devices.
  • Restore files easily from the cloud if needed.
